This Privacy Policy explains how Aravir Technologies Private Limited (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Millet Life mobile application and website (the “Service”). Millet Life is a free millet-nutrition and traditional-wellness app. You can browse most of the app without an account.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what the app needs to work:
| Account details | If you create an account, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. Browsing without an account requires none of this. |

| Your content | Recipes you submit for review, and the items you mark as favourites, are stored so we can show and sync them to you. |
| Notification token | If you allow notifications, we store a device push token (from Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you app updates and new-recipe alerts. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings. |
| Preferences | Your chosen language and appearance (theme). Language is stored on your device; it is not linked to your identity. |
| Technical basics | Standard server logs (e.g. IP address and request time) used for security and rate-limiting, kept only briefly. |
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, and the app contains no third-party advertising.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide core features — accounts, favourites sync, and recipe submissions.
- To send notifications you have opted into.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse (rate-limiting, fraud prevention).
- To review and, if approved, publish recipes you choose to submit.
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service:
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications.
- Our hosting provider — the servers that run the app's backend and this website.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep account information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app, which permanently removes your account and associated data. You may also email us at hello@aravir.in to request deletion.
5. Security
Passwords are stored hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and write access to your data is protected by authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
6. Children
Millet Life is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these, contact us at hello@aravir.in.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate, announced in the app.
